Orthopedics Assessment and Treatment for Head, Neck, Shoulder and Arm

This course will focus on the assessment and treatment of common pathologies of the shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand. The anatomy and physiology of the shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand will be examined, as will the kinetic chains responsible for upper axial skeletal movement. Pathologies covered will include: shoulder bursitis, rotator cuff tears, golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, Trigger finger, and DeQuervain’s syndrome. Treatment will focus on myofascial techniques, such as trigger point therapies. Orthopedic tests and treatments will be included for each region.

Jeff Zutaut, LMT
Jeff graduated from the Lexington Healing Arts Academy in 2015. During his professional career as a massage therapist, Jeff has worked in a variety of employment settings. Jeff has managed his own practice, and he currently works for Boone Lymphatics and Massage, LLC. Jeff brings the wealth of his experiences enthusiastically to Fundamentals of Massage II and Business and Professional Development courses. Jeff was born and raised in southern West Virginia. Residing in Lexington now, he shares his home with his 400 house plants!
