Winter Yin Yoga Immersion
The winter is the most “yin” time of year. It’s a time when the natural world slows down, and the days are generally darker. The season of winter is also related to the water element in Chinese Medicine. The Kidney and Bladder meridians are related to the winter and so targeting these channels helps to create balance in the wintertime. In this Yoga immersion class, we will move through a Yin sequence that relates to the winter season.
Spring Yin Yoga Immersion
The spring is a time when yin is turning into yang. It’s a time when the natural world is waking up from its slumber and there’s new growth everywhere! The season of spring is also related to the wood element in Chinese medicine. The Liver and Gallbladder meridians are related to spring, so targeting these channels helps to create balance this time of year. In this Yoga immersion class, we will move through a Yin sequence that relates to the Spring season.
Summer Yin Yoga Immersion
The summer is the most yang time of year. It’s a time when the natural world is abundant and is displaying beauty everywhere! It’s also a time when you can get burnt out. Summer emphasizes poses that target water and earth elements which helps one to slow down and turn inward. The Kidney meridians are related to the water element and the Spleen meridians are related to the earth element. Targeting these channels can help create balance in the summer. In this Yoga immersion class, we will move through a Yin sequence that relates to the Summer season.
Late Summer Yin Yoga Immersion
The late summer is when yang starts to turn towards yin. It’s a time of harvest and abundance! The Spleen and Stomach meridians are related to the earth element. Targeting these channels can help create balance in the late summer. In this Yoga immersion class, we will move through a Yin sequence that relates to the Late (Indian) Summer season.
Fall Yin Yoga Immersion
The season of fall is when energy transitions from yang to yin. It’s a time when the natural world starts to descend into the darker days of winter. The fall is a great time to do more yin yoga because yin yoga is naturally quieter and slow which are both qualities to emphasize this time of year. The Lung and Large Intestine meridians are related to the fall and so targeting these channels helps to create balance in the autumn. The season of fall is also related to the metal element in Chinese Medicine. In this Yoga immersion class, we will move through a Yin sequence that relates to the Fall season.
Winter Yin Yoga Immersion II
This series will wrap up back in the winter season. The winter is the most “yin” time of year. It’s a time when the natural world slows down, and the days are generally darker. The season of winter is also related to the water element in Chinese Medicine. The Kidney and Bladder meridians are related to the winter and so targeting these channels helps to create balance in the wintertime.
